Bringing humanity to HR:
one grief-aware action at a time.

Work doesn’t stop for grief - and people can’t just set it aside either.

Let’s build workplaces where we don’t have to pretend we're fine.

Learn How

My mission is to transform how organizations support people through the most human of experiences: grief, loss, illness, and the messy transitions of life; so that no one feels lost or invisible when they return to work.

With years of experience as both an HR executive and a death doula, I bridge systems and compassion: creating practical structures that honor the humanity of employees while meeting the needs of the business.

My commitment is to better the system. With your help, reboarding after a leave is not just a process, but a deeply supportive experience

I work with HR leaders, executives, and managers who want to:

  • Talk about behaviors and performance with clarity and care

  • Support employees in transitioning and reintegrating after time away

  • Extend reboarding practices for those returning from grief, illness, or caregiving leave

  • Create tools: like one-pager updates, welcome-back maps, and reboarding guides that help employees catch up at their own pace without being overwhelmed

When someone returns to work after weeks or months away, it can feel like the business has moved on without them. Maybe culture has evolved. Operational updates feel pivotal and impactful. Either way, everything feels different.

Without intentional re-boarding, people can feel disoriented, lonely, or pressured to perform at full capacity on day one.

Together, we can design systems that say:
“We’re glad you’re here. That’s enough for today.”

Systems that catch people up on changes and evolutions, and create space for them to reintegrate with confidence, clarity, and belonging.

Start Here.

  • Review your current bereavement, time-off, and leave policies. Does it sound like an HR robot from the 90’s wrote it? Pull out your core values and assess if they show up anywhere in your leave policies.

I’ll recommend improvements rooted in empathy, equity, and flexibility

Let’s create supportive inclusive language and support for chosen family, cultural rites, etc

  • A ‘Lunch & Learn with a Death Doula’ offers your team a dedicated space to learn about end of life planning and deathcare. Topics can be tailored to specific themes, or open ended up to spur curiousity.

Focused ‘Bite Sized Learnings’ on embracing grief at work are suited for People Leaders looking to advance their compassionate presence in the workplace. Understanding how grief weaves itself into our working world can be a powerful tool while leading humans in a work environment.

  • We’re amongst the first to find out when an employee had lost a friend, family member or pet. How we show up in their time of need matters. Tap into resources, scripts and suggestions to maximize your impact.
